This is a plain-language explanation of what actually happens to your data when you use DataBench — not a wall of legal boilerplate.
Regex testing, JSON formatting, JWT decoding, cron parsing, and hashing all run entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste into these tools is ever sent to any server — it never leaves your machine.
When you use "Generate," "Explain," "Optimize," or "Auto-Generate Tests," the text you provide (your prompt, pattern, or sample text) is sent to DataBench's server, which forwards it to Google's Gemini API to produce a response. Don't paste real secrets, credentials, or sensitive personal data into these specific features.
Your recent pattern history is saved in your browser's local storage only, so it stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. DataBench has no account system and does not store your data on any server.
DataBench does not currently run any analytics or tracking scripts.
