DataBench started from a simple frustration: every time a regex, a JSON payload, a JWT, or a cron expression needed checking, it meant leaving what I was working on to hunt down yet another single-purpose site — half of them ad-choked, none of them explaining why something didn't match.
DataBench bundles the tools developers and data engineers reach for constantly — regex, JSON, JWT, cron, hash — into one place, and adds an AI layer on top: describe what you need in plain English and it generates, explains, tests, and optimizes the pattern for you, instead of leaving you to work it out from a cheat sheet.
It's built and maintained by Karthik, a data engineer working in the Snowflake and AI space. DataBench is free to use, has no account system, and no paywall.
